The Podcast

What is That Time of the Month?

That Time of the Month is a Podcast that talks about every conceivable subject affecting women mostly – and in a lot of cases, men, as well.

It is unapologetic, honest, down-to-earth and completely unedited and raw. We do not wear makeup, we do not filter our language and we do not pretend to have all the answers.

We’re a group of women who get together once a month to talk about an issue that is prevalent in our lives and the lives of those we know. Imagine hanging out with a group of women over a cup of coffee – or a few glasses of wine – and shooting the breeze: that’s us!

What We Talk About?

It would be shorter to write what we do not talk about! Anything and everything is within limits and we often end up going on tangents within our chats. Subjects cover health, wealth, relationships – family, friends and romance, children, new trends in life, pop culture and any and all other life “stuff”.

Who It’s For?

Well, everyone! The topics we cover affect just about everyone – men and women alike. We do not recommend children under the age of 16 listen to this as there are some difficult topics and we are very candid about pretty much everything we talk about. No filters, remember?

Meet the Hosts

Delaney

Delaney is the woman behind That Time of the Month—a podcast born from the belief that women need somewhere to talk honestly about the things we’re often expected to keep to ourselves.

With a career spent working with major international brands, clients and businesses, Delaney is no stranger to strategy, problem-solving and getting things done. But That Time of the Month is a very different kind of project.

Here, there are no spreadsheets to hide behind and no perfectly polished corporate answers.

It’s a place for the conversations that happen when women get together, shut the door and say, “Right… can we actually talk about this?”

Relationships. Dating. Sex and sexuality. Marriage. Friendship. Family. Menopause. Mental health. Body image. Work. Money. Ageing. Identity. Pop culture. The ridiculousness of modern life—and all the stuff in between.

Delaney brings curiosity, humour, honesty and a willingness to ask the questions that sometimes make everyone go very quiet.

She’s also perfectly comfortable admitting that she doesn’t have all the answers.

Because that’s the point.

That Time of the Month isn’t about telling women how they should feel, behave, look or live. It’s about creating a space where women can share experiences, challenge each other, laugh at themselves, disagree, learn something new and occasionally have a spectacularly uncomfortable conversation.

Sometimes there will be hysterical laughter.

Sometimes there will be tears.

And sometimes someone will say something that makes everyone stare at them and ask:

“Did you seriously just say that?”

That’s That Time of the Month.

Real women. Real conversations. No filters. No bullshit.

Miss M

Artist. Creator. Dog obsessive. Halloween enthusiast. Survivor.

Miss M is an artist at heart and a creator by nature. She sees the world a little differently, feels things deeply and has a zest for life that somehow survived everything life has thrown at her.

She is also completely, unapologetically, mad about dogs.

And Halloween.

Seriously. Halloween. 🎃

But beneath the creativity, humour and enthusiasm is a woman who is soft-hearted, sensitive and deeply empathetic. Miss M isn’t someone who naturally looks for a fight. In fact, standing up for herself has never come easily to her. She tends to see the good in people, give second chances and sometimes give far more of herself than she should.

Unfortunately, there have been people who have taken advantage of exactly that.

Miss M has experienced relationships with people who manipulated, mistreated and took advantage of her trust and kindness. She has also found herself in workplaces where her gentle nature was mistaken for weakness and where other people were willing to take advantage of the fact that she didn’t instinctively fight back.

Her experiences have given her something that no textbook could teach her: an intimate understanding of what it feels like to lose yourself while trying to keep the peace.

She has also spent years working in administrative jobs that never really fit the person she is. Because while she could do the work, the truth is that Miss M was never made to spend her life simply ticking boxes and pushing paperwork around.

She’s an artist.

She’s a creator.

She’s someone who needs to make things, imagine things and bring ideas to life.

And perhaps most importantly, Miss M is a survivor.

She has made it through a difficult childhood, painful relationships, marriages that didn’t work, circumstances that tested her and chapters of her life that could have broken her.

But they didn’t.

They changed her.

After almost 20 years of friendship with Delaney, Miss M brings something very different to That Time of the Month. She brings vulnerability. She brings lived experience. She brings the perspective of someone who has sometimes struggled to find her voice—and who is learning that having a soft heart doesn’t mean you have to surrender your boundaries.

Her story isn’t about becoming hard.

It’s about discovering that you can remain soft without allowing people to hurt you.

On That Time of the Month, Miss M is willing to talk about the things that many people would rather bury. Relationships. Manipulation. Heartbreak. Self-worth. Friendship. Work. Being taken for granted. Learning boundaries. Starting again. And the sometimes ridiculous journey of figuring out who the hell you are after you’ve spent years being who everyone else needed you to be.

She’ll probably make you laugh.

She might make you cry.

She’ll almost certainly talk about dogs.

And there is a very good chance Halloween will somehow enter the conversation.

Because after everything she’s been through, Miss M isn’t interested in simply surviving anymore.

She’s here to live.
