We’ve all got stories.

The date that became a story you still tell your friends.
The friendship that changed your life.
The mistake you swore you’d never make again.
The thing you wish you’d known ten years earlier.
The moment that broke you.
The moment that rebuilt you.
And sometimes, telling that story can be surprisingly powerful.
We Want to Hear Yours
That Time of the Month is built around honest conversations about real life—and we’d love to hear from the people listening.
Your story might be funny.
It might be awkward.
It might be heartbreaking.
It might be something you’ve never told anyone before.
It might simply be a moment when you thought:
“Well… I definitely learned something from THAT.”
Whatever it is, you can share it with us.
You can submit your story using your real name, a first name, initials or a pseudonym. You can also tell us if you’d prefer to remain completely anonymous.
And you don’t have to write a masterpiece.
Write it like you’re telling your best friend.
What Happens After You Submit It?
Every story submitted to That Time of the Month will be reviewed by our team before anything is published or discussed publicly.
Submitting a story does not mean that we will automatically publish it, read it on the podcast or share it on social media.
If we think your story could be a great fit for an episode, we’ll contact you first.
We’ll discuss:
- Where and how we’d like to use your story
- Whether you’d like to remain anonymous
- Whether we’d like to edit or shorten it
- Whether we’d like to discuss it on the podcast
- Any identifying details that may need to be removed
- And, most importantly, whether you’re still comfortable with us using it
You remain in control of your story.
Please Protect Yourself—and Others
Before submitting, please think carefully about whether your story contains information that could identify you or another person.
Please don’t include:
- Full names of private individuals
- Home addresses
- Phone numbers or email addresses
- Financial or account information
- Passwords or other confidential information
- Identifying information about children
- Private information about someone else that you don’t have permission to share
If you’re telling a story about another person, consider changing identifying details.
And remember: once something has been published online, it can be difficult to completely remove it.
Our Moderation Promise
We want That Time of the Month to be a place where people can be honest without being attacked.
That means we reserve the right to moderate, edit or decline submissions that contain harassment, threats, hate speech, deliberately harmful content, identifying private information or material that could put someone at risk.
We’re not here to silence difficult conversations.
Quite the opposite.
We’re here to have them.
But difficult doesn’t have to mean cruel.
And One More Thing…
You don’t need to have everything figured out before you tell your story.
Maybe you’re still processing what happened.
Maybe you’re laughing about it now.
Maybe you’re still angry.
Maybe you haven’t decided what you think about it yet.
That’s okay.
Sometimes a story isn’t about having a neat ending.
Sometimes it’s simply about saying:
“This happened to me.”
And discovering that someone else, somewhere, is reading it and thinking:
“Oh my God. Me too.”
